ABOUT US
Arquipélago Cultural Center has started from artists and compemporary arts acquaintance and wealth diversity as well as from the uneasiness about the effective participation of such a cultural good on the island inhabitants' lives.
Inaugurated by two artists, Fabiana Wielewicki and Leticia Cardoso, on November 2, 2007 it acts as a fomenting arts agent in the city of Florianópolis and Santa Catarina state, investing in the areas comprising cultural education and events besides work of arts commerce/trade. Experimental as to character, it aims at stimulating artistic research as well as contributing to the visualisation shaping by narrowing the relationship between the public and contemporary arts. Looking forward to achieve  such a goal it promotes a series of activities bound to open discussion on art produced today, strengthening and criating new communication channels between the artists and the public.
